Lady Hounds Compete in Regional Tournament

The Sloan-Hendrix Senior Lady Hounds Basketball team competed in the Regional Tournament in Rector on February 20, 2019, taking on the powerhouse team of the Earl Bulldogs. Led by Head Coach Josh Cagle and Assistant Coach Ben Hogard, the Lady Hounds eventually succumbed to the Bulldogs attack. Sophomore guard Cloie Marshall was recognized as the Sloan-Hendrix player of the game. The Lady Hounds ended their memorable season with a 19-16 record and were the runners-up in both the Bobcat Invitational Tournament at Corning and the Lawrence County Tournament at Hillcrest. According to Coach Cagle, "I was proud of the way the girls finished their season. They were a great group to work with and handled the changes during the season well. We will have some key players coming back, and we are looking forward to an outstanding season next year.
