Sloan-Hendrix High School Recognized for Outstanding Science Growth
Sloan-Hendrix Public Schools is proud to announce that Sloan-Hendrix High School has been recognized by the University of Arkansas Office for Education Policy for outstanding student growth on the 2026 ATLAS assessment.
Sloan-Hendrix High School received two Beating the Odds recognitions for its achievement in science:
High Science Growth | Statewide
High Science Growth | Northeast Region
The Beating the Odds awards recognize Arkansas schools demonstrating strong academic growth while serving communities where students may face economic challenges outside of the classroom.
The Office for Education Policy emphasizes student academic growth as an important measure of the impact a school is having on its students. Rather than focusing solely on where students finish, growth recognizes the progress students make throughout their educational journey.
For Sloan-Hendrix, this recognition represents the continued work taking place in classrooms each day. It belongs to the students who continue to work and grow, the teachers who challenge, encourage, and support them, and the many individuals who contribute to the success of our schools.
Sloan-Hendrix Public Schools is incredibly proud of our students, faculty, and staff for earning this recognition and for continuing to demonstrate what can be accomplished through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to growth.
Growth matters, and our Greyhounds are Beating the Odds!
