Sloan-Hendrix Schools is accepting sealed bids on the following items: 1. 2007 International School Bus (runs) 108,948 miles 2. 2006 International School Bus (runs) 137,000 miles Interested bidders may make an onsite inspection at Sloan-Hendrix Schools. Sealed bids should be addressed to: Administration Office, Sloan-Hendrix Schools, P.O. Box 1080, Imboden, AR 72434 and must be received no later than 10 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022. Bids will be opened following the deadline for bid submission. The Sloan-Hendrix School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Payment in full will be required before items can be removed. Removal of items must take place by Friday, August 12, 2022.
The Sloan-Hendrix summer food program is available Monday through Friday. Breakfast is served from 7:30 - 8:30 and lunch from 11:30 - 12:30. Kids 18 and under eat free.
The Sloan-Hendrix School District will dismiss today, Friday, March 11, at 1:00 due to the forecast for inclement weather for this afternoon.
Sloan-Hendrix will have kindergarten registration on Thursday, March 17, from 3:30-6:00. Any child who will be five years of age on or before August 1, 2022 will be eligible to enroll. Parents must provide the following records before school begins in August: birth certificate, social security card, immunization records, and a health physical. Please bring all available documents to the registration and we will make a copy of them for our records. If you are unable to attend the registration on March 17, you may make an appointment to register your child at a later date.

Due to the current winter storm warning and the expectation of hazardous road conditions developing during the school day, the Sloan-Hendrix School District will be closed for on-site instruction tomorrow, Wednesday, February 23. This will be AMI Day 7. Stay Safe!
This afternoon a Sloan-Hendrix School District student reported to the school resource officer that another student brought a gun to school. The school resource officer immediately went into the student’s classroom and searched the student’s bag. A handgun was discovered and confiscated without incident. Law enforcement was notified about the incident. The student who brought the weapon to school was removed from campus by authorities and will be disciplined under the District’s student handbook policies. The District applauds the student who came forward so that the situation could be immediately investigated. Please take this opportunity to remind your students of the importance of “when you see something, say something.”

Sloan-Hendrix Schools will be open tomorrow, Tuesday, February 8, for on-site instruction at the regular scheduled time. Limited bus service will be provided due to some areas still having iced covered roads. The bus driven by Mr. Dennis Lester will not run county roads 210, 218, and 220 tomorrow. He will be picking up students who live in these areas at the Mt. Vernon Church at 7:00 tomorrow morning. Mr. Randy Gholson will not be running Old Union Rd. and Old Jackson Rd. tomorrow. All other routes will run at the drivers discretion in areas that remain iced covered. If you live in an area where buses are not running tomorrow and you cannot get your child safely to school, please contact the office in your child's building.
In response to updated guidance that was recently announced by Governor Asa Hutchinson, the Sloan-Hendrix School District will no longer require quarantines for students who have been exposed to a positive case of Covid-19 and do not have symptoms. Protocols for positive cases of Covid-19 remain the same - if your student tests positive, they will be required to stay home for 5 days from the onset of symptoms, and will be required to wear a mask on days 6 - 10 in order to return to school. Please continue to notify Sloan-Hendrix School District Point of Contact Mr. Ligie Waddell if your child tests positive for Covid-19.
